Developing an Informed Conscience Worksheet

 

The first place to start developing an informed conscience is with the life, teaching and deeds of Jesus Christ. We need to know what he stood for and what he taught so that we can consider this in making our own decisions.

 

Read the following bible passages and identify the moral virtues that Jesus is trying to convey.

Roger’s conscience would be telling him to jump into the water and save the boy.

an example of one of Jesus’s teachings would be the story of the prodicle son. the father could have said when the boy returned i don’t won’t you to be my son by he chose the right descision by thanking God that his son had returned and that he was alive.

picture appropriation

 

To me this a typical summer day in Australia at Bondi beach everyone having a good time, it’s a hot sunny day and everyone is keen and eager to get into the water for a surf and swim. It looks like this picture was taken around the 1950’s because of the bathing suits and swim costumes they are wearing, also if this picture was taken today it would be in colour so that is a way to tell the time frame that the picture would fit into. The buildings in the background aren’t really 21^st century type of buildings because of the way are built and in modern day today at Bondi beach from this angle there are more buildings and businesses in the background.

 

How I would appropriate this picture into modern day Australia

Everyone is wearing old fashion type swimming costumes and bathing suites so to appropriate that I make the clothes that everyone is wearing are 21^st type fashion, bikinis, board shorts, wet suits, Speedos.

If you look in the picture carefully you can’t see any life guards so that would be a very good idea for safety because of how many people there and for the safety of the people.

The background i would change very much because there a lot of restaurants and cafes around and near the beach not only just cafes and restaurants the buildings in the background that would be more modern, there would be more buildings and businesses, on the roads there would be cars you could see buses, trucks,  maybe a plain in the sky and most of all the picture would be in colour swimming at the beach. Also there would be people maybe having game a beach cricket or footy  not just everyone standing there doing nothing, but there would a lot of people may be trying to get a tan or sun baking or a group of kinds building sand castles or families having a picnic. Maybe  few more trees would be good in the background because there is only about 9 or 10 that you can see
